infood we trust – Creative concept for a digital platform, service design
This project is based on the idea that there is no better defense against the threat of food adulteration and standardization than to disseminate among customers the benefits of a good meal and genuine cuisine. infood responds to this need with a concept designed for a chain of Italian restaurants committed to the principles of Slow Food.
The idea is that infood promotes local cuisines and the traditional production of food with its “kilometer zero” menus, which can be consulted online and onside. Tables are in fact equipped with interactive devices presenting the menu in a dedicated app, also capable of entertaining customers while they wait with nutritional information and trivia related to the dishes.
On this university project, the main task of my team and I was to conceive a creative concept for an innovative restaurant and bring the idea to life through branding, naming, creating visual identity and a logo and creating all related prototypes.
Infood’s advertising boards:
All menus are consultable through an interactive application that can be visualized on iPads, mobile phones and Microsoft Surface tablets provided by the restaurant. Other than showing the offered dishes, the application entertains the customer and leads him to his choice by providing detailed information and trivia about nutrition.
All Infood restaurants are equipped with Microsoft Surface tablets, a device that entertains customers from the moment they sit at the table until the end of their meal. The project also features interior design solutions for the restaurant, a dedicated app, and the design of all promotional material and packaging.
