I quaderni della Sindrome di Tourette – Logo design

Being involved in projects benefitting communities has always been a priority in my work and I was naturally delighted to participate in designing the logo for the book series I quaderni della Sindrome di Tourette (The Tourette’s Syndrome Notebooks), a series of scientific books authored by the founder of the Italian NGO “Associazione Sindrome di Tourette – Siamo in Tanti”.

Black and white versions of logotype:

5 logo bianconero Tourette - luta valentina morciano - graphic design - diseno grafico - visual identity - indentidad visual

The logotype visually represents Tourette’s Syndrome as filtered through a creative mindset. A tic is thereby reflected in a colourful paint drop, spontaneously landing against a geometric grid. Color also seeks to highlight the often underestimated, but well documented, creativity and ingenuity within people affected by the condition.

The drop of paint fits perfectly into the geometric grid, adding character and movement to the logo.

Logo design with grid:

6 logo guide grid Tourette - luta valentina morciano - graphic design - diseno grafico - visual identity - indentidad visual

Client: Gianfranco Morciano, founder of the Italian ONLUS “Associazione Sindrome di Tourette Siamo in Tanti”

Conceptualized and designed by: Luta Valentina Morciano

Country: Italy

Year: 2013
